Alcina Pictures is a Toronto-based film production company committed to developing and producing domestic and internationally marketable films. Part of the Canadian independent community, Alcina prides itself on working with today's new talent and voices of both Canadian and International cinema. Alcina can get involved in various stages of a projects life from development to financing and can access a wide variety of financing in Canada from funding agencies, broadcasters and distributors. While its focus is developing projects in-house, Alcina is also actively looking to build co-production relationships with producers who seek additional financing from Canada or abroad. In 2003, Alcina branched into domestic distribution with REACTION RELEASING, a specialized distributor that acquires, markets and distributes films and soundtracks in Canada.
